37 412 is seen passing Kernick siding on the Parkandillick branch with a loaded clay train on 14 May 1990.
On the same day, 37 412 is seen again on the Parkandillick branch.
A short train is seen departing nortbbound away from Par on 19 September 1989. Somehow I failed to record the numbers of the two
class 37's in this picture. The signal idicates that a southbound train is expected soon.
37 673 is seen passing the village of Golant, on the branch from Lostwithiel to Fowey docks. Picture taken 19 September 1989.
On 15 May 1990, 37 670 is returning from Fowey and is seen approaching Lostwithiel.
This picture was taken on 5 May 1991 and shows the 'Cornish Centurian II' railtour at Penzance. The train was headed by 50 008 and 50 015.
Earlier in the day, the two locos top and tailed the train for a trip along both the Parkandillik and Fowey branches. After leaving Penzance, 37 673 joined
the train for a run up to Bugle, on the the Newquay branch.
This is a view of Liskeard station on 6 April 1988. In the up platform, 50 025 has failed and was rescued by a class 47 which arrived light engine from Plymouth.
50 042 is seen arriving at Redruth with a northbound train from Penzance on 5 August 1987.
These last two pictures on this page show the disused Carbis Wharf branch on the evening of 4 September 1991. This short branch diverged from the
Newquay line at Bugle and was very infrequently used. The last train, hauled by 37 669, ran on 19 June 1989.
A view of Rosemellyn crossing. When these pictures were taken, many of the fishplates had already been removed, in preparation for track lifting.
